YOUNGSTER Robbie Nicholson claimed a hat-trick as his star all-round performance hel-ped Combe to a 45-run victory over West Ilsley in Division 3 on Saturday.

Nicholson had earlier top-scored with 75 in Combe’s 215-8, before he claimed figures of 5-37 including a memorable treble as the visitors were bowled out for 170.

Amit Rawal hit 83 for Ilsley before he became one of Nicholson’s five victims.

Chadlington ended Watlington’s 100 per cent record with a 38-run win.

Batting first in a rain-affected match, Chadlington posted 140-4 as Danny Harding (58) again led the way.

Steve Hunt (4-26) and Martin Shepherd (3-35) then combined with the ball as Watlington were bowled out for 102.

East & West Hendred went top after a 14-run victory over Clifton Hampden.

Batting first , Hendred posted 169 as in-form Ivan Mulford scored 75.

Simon Berry (3-34) and Mark Baring (3-36) then combined as Clifton were restricted to 155-9, despite Morley Benson’s 62.

In Division 1, Garsington took over top spot with a 50-run win against Charlbury.

Neil Bound (48) and Abdullah Sadiqi (47no) helped the home side to 183 all out.

Maseh Sadiqi claimed 4-24 in Charlbury’s reply as they fell to 133 all out.

Shrivenham were knocked off the top, going down by 22 runs at home to Horley.

The visitors’ Nick Tarrant scored 54 in Horley’s 178 all out, before Jonathan Hart claimed 5-42 as Shrivenham were dismissed for 156, Adam Tucker hitting 63.

Westbury edged past hosts Tetsworth by nine runs.

In a low-scoring clash, Westbury were dismissed for 141 as Amzad Khan took 5-50 and Austra Franklin 4-30.

But Tetsworth fell to 132 all out, Richard Tredwell taking 3-17.

East Oxford slammed basement boys Marcham by 156 runs.

Danish Mohammed’s 83 was the main contribution in East Oxford’s 242 all out, Andrew Chalmers taking 5-47.

Marcham’s sorry reply ended at 86 all out as Ali Malik (3-18) and Zeeshan Sharif (3-52) shone with the ball.

Great Horwood’s 231-7 was too much for Minster Lovell, who lost by 55 runs.

Matt McStraw led the way for Horwood with 65, before Neil Wilkins (4-47) took over with the ball, Minster being dismissed for 176.

Division 2 leaders Broughton & North Newington made it five wins out of five as they beat Stonesfield by five wickets.

Stonesfield posted a useful 211-5, Jamie Burns top-scoring with 83.

But Broughton’s strong batting line-up eased to 213-5, Ansar Aslam hitting 59 and Olly Evans 49.

Aaron Hirtenstein took 6-19 to help Oxenford to a 31-run win at Oxford Caribbean.

Oxenford had been shot out for 95, but Hirtenstein’s super spell ripped through Caribbean for only 64 in reply.

A fine 75 from Marc Buckingham saw Freeland to 161 all out at Witney Swifts.

And it proved just enough as Swifts managed only 158-9 in their reply.

Hailey’s Paul King scored a superb 102 as his side walloped Charlbury 2nd by 123 runs in Division 4.

Steve Kearsey (60no) and Sean King (60) also starred as Hailey rattled up 283-5, before Charlbury crawled to 160-7 in their reply.

Chipping Norton’s Jim McGeown took 4-40 to help his side to a five-wicket win against Deddington.

Deddington were restricted to 114-8 in a rain-affected clash, Gerry Duncan scoring 57.

Chippy captain Sam Evans then scored 31 to steer his side to 116-5 and a comfortable victory.
