Oxford City boss Mike Ford has called on his players to finish the job when they travel to Didcot Town for Tuesday's FA Cup first qualifying round replay.

In Saturday’s first game, Didcot fought back from a goal down in a 1-1 draw. Didcot keeper David Lyons saved a Lee Steele penalty 15 minutes from time to force a replay.

“I think the draw was probably a fair result,” said Ford.

“It was a typical FA Cup game. Didcot came here with nothing to lose and we didn’t handle it as well as we should have.

“So tonight we have a chance to put that right and I think their manager will be saying the same to his players.

“It’s a local derby and we need to play a bit better than we did Saturday.

“I am sure the players were disappointed that they didn’t do the job the first-time around.”

The winners will travel to Thame United, the conquerors of Brackley in the second qualifying round on Saturday, October 1.

City give a late test to defender James Clarke who missed the original tie with a back injury.

Didcot boss Francis Vines said: “I think they (City) will be a bit more wary of us this time around.

“I think it would have been a shame to lose to that penalty, but Dave (Lyons) kept it out.“We’ve had a bit of a hoodoo at Didcot with winning at home lately, so it would be nice to change that.”

Lee Henderson, who was unavailable for Saturday’s game, returns.
