Kris Meeke finished fourth in the Wales Rally GB in his Banbury-built Mini John Cooper Works WRC.
Teammate Dani Sordo set the second fastest time in the final test, the Power Stage at Monument, and was 20th overall.
Meeke left Cardiff on the final day 45 seconds behind the third-placed Ford of Henning Solberg which he cut to 1.8 seconds. However, his chances of catching him ended when he hit a rut and half-spun his car.
David Richards, team principal, said: “Dani and Kris have achieved five top five positions in only six events – the team has come of age and this is only just the beginning for the MINI WRC Team.”
The event was won by Jari-Matti Latvala.
