Oxfordshire pair Andrew Brockie and Edith Langford struck gold in the Wiltshire Under 17 badminton tournament at Melksham.
Brockie, from Faringdon, beat Hampshire’s Ross Green 21-19 to take the boys’ title, while Langford saw off Dorset’s Sophie Males by the same score in the girls’ final.
Oxford’s Yiran Ji won the boys’ singles in the Oxfordhire Under 15 tournament at the White Horse Leisure and Tennis Centre, Abingdon.
Ji defeated Leeshan Punchihewa (Northants) 21-17 in the final, while Ashley Garrison (Witney) and Tara Sehmi (Oxford) won silver in the mixed doubles.
Megan Ready (Long Wittenham) and Briony Whitfield (Bedfordshire) won bronze in the girls’ doubles.
The Oxfordshire Under 11 tournament at the same venue saw four local bronze medals and a silver.
Maisie Boyd (Chalgrove) won a bronze in the girls’ singles and a girls’ doubles silver with Hope Warner (Leicestershire).
Cameron Ferguson (Drayton) fell in the boys’ singles semi-final, as did Ethan Rose (Long Crendon) and Alex Green (Surrey) in the boys’ doubles.
Safia Khimji (Didcot) won bronze in the girls’ doubles with Asmita Chaudari (Northumberland).
