There was drama at Oakfield Fishery last Wednesday when the weekly match was cancelled after veteran Ray Morris fell ill. The 83-year-old collapsed and was kept warm by fellow anglers until an ambulance arrived to take him to hospital.
Everyone was relieved to hear he was discharged that evening and amazingly, he turned up to fish Saturday’s match.
