OXFORD MAIL CROSS COUNTRY LEAGUE
WHITE Horse Harriers’ Jonathan Cornish effectively sealed the under 20 men’s title after winning at Cirencester.
Cornish clocked 34.06 for 19th place and has a 63-point lead over second-placed Dan Moseley (Woodstock Harriers).
Abingdon’s Nick Wiltshire was edged into second place in the under 11 boys’ event by Sammy Hart (Team Kennet) – with the two tied in the standings.
Oxford City’s Julian Richardson was the first vet 40 man home, finishing 12th in 33.40, but clubmate Steve Male, who didn’t race, leads the standings.
John Exley leads City clubmate Roy Treadwell by just 16 points in the race for the vet 60 crown.
