LUKE Ryan’s impressive return of 5-37 gave Banbury their second straight victory of the season in Division 1 of the Serious Cricket Home Counties Premier League.
The Oxfordshire bowler took wickets at regular intervals as his side recorded an 88-run victory over Burnham at their White Post Road ground.
All of Banbury’s batsmen got starts, but none could go on to make a half-century as the hosts were bowled out for 196 in 66 overs.
Nathan Hawkes, who last week smashed a superb 157, again top-scored, this time with 42.
In reply, Ryan was the star-of-the-show, claiming his five-wicket haul in just 13 overs as Banbury built on their win over Bishop’s Stortford to lead the table.
