Sibling rivalry was put to one side as two brothers combined for a superb triple-century partnership on Sunday.
Andy and Mark Small smashed 316 off 36 overs while opening for Cairns Fudge against Deddington in OCA Division 4.
Their mammoth stand was brought to an end when Mark was dismissed for 129, the 26-year-old’s first century.
Andy, 31, carried his bat to reach 200 not out in the 386-2 total, setting two new records for the club, based at Stanton St John.
What made the achievement even more remarkable was the pair usually bat further down the order.
Andy Small said: “We were missing our top-order batsman, so Mark and I had to open the batting.
“We had planned to play more sensibly than we normally do, but after we scored 14 off the first over decided to just play our natural games and it seemed to come off.”
Cairns Fudge went on to win by 145 runs.
