Sean Rigg has become Oxford United’s first signing of the summer after completing a move this morning.

The 23-year-old was offered a new contract at Port Vale, but opted to turn it down and move to the Kassam Stadium on a two-year deal instead.

Rigg, who can play as either a wide midfielder or a striker, scored ten goals for Vale last season, including one in United’s 3-0 defeat at Vale Park on the final day of the season earlier this month.

The former Bristol Rovers trainee made 104 appearances in just under three seasons with Vale.
