The last trout set up by the late, great Peter Stone is being offered for sale by Barry Brooks.
‘Stoney’ was the Oxford Mail’s reknowed angling correspondent for 28 years before his death on his 73rd birthday in 2000.
He was also a talented taxidermist.
Barry said: “I am downsizing and want to sell it.
“It is a 14lb rainbow trout and was caught at Milestone Fishery, Lechlade, which also isn’t there any more.
“I would like to sell it to someone who knew Stoney or is interested in fishing, rather than it being put on a pub wall.”
