Ronan Wadley led the way at Berinsfield ABC’ss third and final dinner show of the season in front of a sell-out crowd at Didcot Town Football Club.

Wadley headed up the junior contests with his class 2 (1998) clash against this year’s schoolboy championship finalist Mark Bosley, from Far Cotton.

The Berinsfield fighter started the bout with clean stiff jabs and fast right-left combinations to pull out a lead against his rival.

The second period saw Wadley put his foot on the gas and start to move his shots from head to body.

Bosley tried to answer him, but Wadley’s superior movement kept him at bay.

The final round saw Wadley in full force, throwing shots from every angle, which were too much for his counterpart to answer.

Wadley went on to pick up a well-deserved unanimous decision.

Berinsfield’s William Treifall entered the ring for the third time this season in a class 2 under 37kg contest against Bletchley ABC’s Andrew McBroom.

Treifall get to work from the off, landing clean double and triple jabs to head. His superior work rate and cleaner shots saw him pick up a unanimous decision and the end of third.

Clubmate Jakey McDonagh gained another unanimous decision on his record whenr beating High Wycombe rival Shahid Subhani in their Class 2 under 36kg contest.

McDonagh’s accurate counter- punching left no doubt in the judge’s heads.

At under 44kg, Gerard Ward secured his second win over experienced rival Alfie Scott, from Sandy ABC.

This was a thrilling bout, both boys trading toe-to-toe. Ward came out on the right side of a majority decision.

Berinsfield’s best bout of the night went to James Betteridge for a senior contest at light-middle against Hassan Asghar (Bulmershe ABC).

After taking a count, Betteridge showed pure grit and determination in a closely fought contest.

Both boys gave their all, but Betteridge was on the wrong end of a close majority decision.
