OXFORD Cavaliers head coach Tevita Vaikona says his players can’t wait to get going again after a three-week break.

Cavaliers visit Bristol Sonics in the Rugby League Conference West Division tomorrow targeting their second win of the season.

But having beaten Gloucestershire Warriors in their opener, Cavaliers saw their match with Wiltshire Wyverns postponed, while last week saw no fixtures scheduled due to Super League’s Magic Weekend.

Vaikona said: “It's going to be a tough game, in warm conditions, and away from home.

“But we’re confident that the effort we’ve put in on the training field will pay off.

“The guys have worked hard, are in great shape, and can't wait to play again.”

Oxford captain and half back John Connaughton misses out with a knee ligament injury, while new recruit from Henley Hawks, Jordan Higgins, could make his debut.

Dave Nolan’s return will add some steel to the pack.
