There were no shocks in the Ridgeway Cup first round – but some big wins.

Masons Arms thrashed Abingdon Knights 11-0, Bradley Fines cracking a four-timer. Ben Strong hit a treble with Jamie McCualy on target twice. Stu Parsons and Rui de Garces completed the rout.

Donnington crushed The Leys 9-0. Lee Spencer hit four, and Nathan Poyser, Josh Green, Craig Gilboy, Lewis Colwell and Gareth Jackson all got in on the act.

AFC Jericho came from 3-1 down to beat Bicesterlona 4-3 with Ollie Haja heading in the winner. Haja and David Oliver hit doubles for Jericho. Dean Smith replied with a brace, and Darren White with one.

Railway Wheatley won 8-2 at home to Hampstead Norreys, Jake Leconter hitting a treble and Sam Gordon a brace. Jordan Reid, Darren Layman and Phil Lowe also netted.

Despite a four-timer from Ben Sadler, Freeland Yeomans lost out 9-6 at Wootton & Dry Sandford. Paul Salter and veteran John Leader also scored for Yeomans.
