CARA Gainer begins the defence of her English Women’s Open Match Play Championship title tomorrow.
The 22-year-old, who is a member at Frilford Heath, tees off at Kirby Muxloe in Leicestershire at 8.10am.
Gainer comes into the event in good form, following top-ten finishes in the Irish Women’s Open Stroke Play Championship and the St Rule Trophy, where she was in England’s Nations Cup team.
After 36 holes of stroke play, the field is cut to 16 players before knockout rounds of match play.
