EDDIE Pepperell has comfortably made the latter stages of the European Tour event in Denmark, but remains well off the lead.
The Abingdon golfer must win in Aarhus to stand any chance of securing automatic qualification for the Ryder Cup in Paris next month.
Although Pepperell carded a three-under round of 69 to move to five-under overall, he was eight shots off the lead.
Starting from the tenth, the Frilford Heath member birdied his second and third holes to make a flying start.
Ten pars then followed, before he picked up another shot on his 14th.
A dropped shot at the next dented his progress, but he recovered to birdie his 17th.
