EDDIE Pepperell will be looking to give himself a belated birthday present when he tees off at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic this morning.
The golfer, from Abingdon, turned 28 on Tuesday and begins his tournament at the Emirates Golf Club at 8.10am (GMT) alongside Sweden’s Alexander Bjork and Kurt Kitiyama, from the United States.
It will be Pepperell’s sixth appearance at the event, but he has only made the cut twice and has never finished inside the top 60.
He goes into the tournament on the back of a tie for 49th place at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship last weekend.
