EDDIE Pepperell finished well down the field at the World Golf Championships in Mexico.

The Frilford Heath member ended on 11-over-par, claiming a share of 67th place in the 72-man field.

Pepperell endured a frustrating final two days at Chapultepec, carding a two-over 73 on Saturday, followed by a 75 yesterday.

The only birdie of his final round came on his 17th hole.

Dustin Johnson won the event, finishing on 21-under-par.

Pepperell, ranked 42 in the world, is next due in action at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, held at Bay Hill in Florida, which begins on March 7.
