TENNIS: Witney held to draw but land Oxfordshire Babolat Summer League Division 1 crown
WITNEY men won Division 1 of the Oxfordshire Babolat Summer League despite a 4-4 draw at Oxford Sports.
The point saw them level on points with Woodstock, but crowned champions on superior rubbers scores.
Cholsey ladies regained their Division 1 title after North Oxford were held to a 4-4 draw by Oxford City.
Wantage suffered relegation following a 6-2 defeat to Oxford Sports, joining their men’s and mixed sides in losing their top-flight status.
