OLYMPIC Torchbearer Dave Earle continued his hectic schedule of visits with an event in People’s Park, Banbury.
Mr Earle, who took the torch through Wallingford on July 10, attended the Play Day last Wednesday.
The former kickboxing world champion – who runs Spit ’n’ Sawdust gym in North Bar Street, Banbury – has been taking the torch to community groups and schools.
He said: “The reaction is always the same, as if it was made of gold and had special powers.”
Mr Earle, chosen as a torchbearer for his work with town youngsters, said: “As long as they keep calling me, I will be doing it.”
The children’s activities event was run by Cherwell District Council and Oxfordshire Play Association.
