DOWNTON Abbey has been shortlisted for 12 prizes at this year’s Emmy Awards in the US.
The ITV period drama, which is being broadcast in the US, has received nominations for stars Hugh Bonneville, pictured, Michelle Dockery, Dame Maggie Smith and Jim Carter.
The popular series has been partly filmed in Bampton since 2010, with the village library and St Mary’s Church both featuring as backdrops.
