RACHEL Sene donned a papier-mache brain for Sunday’s Eynsham 10k and fun run.
Ms Sene, 22, from Abingdon, was diagnosed two months ago with a rare circulatory disorder in the brain called an arteriovenous malformation (AVM).
Along with 15 friends, running as the Brain Team, she raised £2,144 for the Butterfly AVM charity, which supports research into the condition.
Ms Sene, who works for the careers service at Oxford University, said: “It was really enjoyable and a really good atmosphere.
“It was quite difficult and I didn’t make it easy for myself by wearing a papier-mache brain and a big cycle helmet made to look like a brain.
“It’s a charity close to my heart and it’s great to have my friends supporting me.”
