Former Airey Cup holders Westbury kept up their quest to win the competition for the third time with a 59-run victory over Minster Lovell in the second round.

Harry Smith led the way with 60 as Westbury, winners in 2010 and 2002, reached 212-7, and then Charlie Harper claimed 4-27 in Minster’s 153-8.

An unbeaten 45 from Talib Hussain steered Westcott to an eight-wicket win at Free-land.

Alimar Khan took 4-25 as Freeland were dismissed for 97, before Westcott eased to 98-2.

Marsh Gibbon bowed out after a 168-run defeat by Oxenford.

Rhys Davies (102no) and Augustine Robertson (70) led Oxenford to an impressive 261-8.

Left-arm seamer Aaron Hirtenstein then claimed 6-40 as Gibbon were shot out for 93.

Paul Davies and Lee Price shared eight wickets as Chesterton beat Great Horwood 2nd by seven wickets in the second round of the Telegraph Cup.

Davies took 4-11 and Price 4-25 in Horwood’s 84 all out. Chesterton made 85-3.

Westbury 2nd went down to a 24-run defeat against Garsington 2nd.

Ben Curley (4-43) and Dan Hopkins (3-26) restricted Garsington to 169.

However,Westbury were all out for 145, Darren Muddiman top-scoring with 30.

Chesterton 2nd went down to a four-wicket defeat against Bampton in the Osberton Radiators Cup second round.

Russell King did the damage with 5-40 as hosts Chesterton were all out for 187.

Nick Pitt (52), King (42) and Richard Pitt (38) saw Bampton to 188-6.
