The host club’s young star Ertan Hazine stole the show when 50 quads, 57 doubles and 451 singles raced in the Wallingford Sculls in gusty conditions last Saturday.
Hazine, who raced in the British junior coxed four this year, excelled with a win in the intermediate 1 sculls.
His time was faster than the winning elite competitor and only bettered narrowly by four senior 1 performers.
Hazine’s super victory was followed by four wins for more mature club members.
In-form perennials Mike Edge and Sean Morris continued in their winning ways with success in the veteran D and veteran G singles respectively.
Edge’s wife, Rachel, linked up with Marita van Oldenborgh to win the women’s veteran C doubles and Christy Job was the fastest women’s veteran B single.
