BANBURY and Bicester College has received two new Hyundai cars for the college’s £2m motor vehicle centre.
The motor vehicle students, who study at the college’s motor vehicle centre on Broughton Road, were donated a Hyundai i40 and i10, worth £25,000.
Students will be working on the engines to learn about faults and carrying out repairs on the cars.
This work is part of the students’ Level 1 or Level 2 Diploma in Vehicle Maintenance.
Some students are also undertaking a Level 2 or Level 3 apprenticeship in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
Principal Rose Turner said: “By working in partnership with employers, such as Hyundai, we can ensure that students also have access to the latest vehicles and equipment so that they can develop the exact skills which employers are looking for.”
The college’s vehicle centre was opened last October and offers students the chance to learn about vehicle safety checks and MOTs.
