CHILDREN from a school near Abingdon learned about the past at a site where
archaeological works are being carried out.
Pupils from St Blaise CoE primary in Milton watched experts from the Museum of
London Archaeology working at Blaise Park.
MOLA project manager Michael Smith said: “We use a lot of modern technology,
including GPS equipment alongside traditional methods of excavation such as
digging by hand.”
He added: “Our young visitors were really keen to get to grips with these
different techniques and see for themselves what happens on an archaeological
excavation.”
Redrow Homes plans to build 450 homes at Blaise Park.
