Novelist and poet Glyn Frewer lived for 18 years in an 18th-century cottage in Taston, a West Oxfordshire hamlet near Charlbury.

Four Acres (£9.99) is a diary of nature observations made in the four-acre plot around his house.

He turned the area into a wildlife haven and from 1993 to 2010 observed the comings and goings, changing seasons, and changing wildlife, including more than 70 different bird species, attracted by seed and nut feeders, and by a lake he created from a bog fed by springs.
