Doesn't surprise me. It's very difficult to recruit a good candidate in Oxford, we usually rely on agencies poaching them from somewhere else.

If you're:-

Personable
Well presented
Educated (don't pretend that a "d" is a pass)
Have a reasonable command of the English language
Hold a clean Google history

Then you are likely to already be in a good job in Oxford (or within 4 weeks of starting another).

The number of people out of work has RISEN, the number of people allowed to claim the benefit that classes them to be counted as unemployed according to new Tory counting rules (about 30 changes since the great Labour isn't working slogan of Thatchers first election, 1979 for you kiddies out there, google it) has fallen, if Cameron goes on changing the rules as much as his heroine did, then by next year we will have ZERO unemployment.
