Woman charged after Witney Christmas lights switch-on

A woman has been charged in connection with a disturbance at the Christmas lights switch on in Witney last night.
Prime Minister David Cameron, MP for the Witney constituency, switched on the lights in the town centre at about 7pm.
Police said a woman tried to climb barriers at the event at about 7pm.
Bethan Tichborne, 28, of Campbell Road, Cowley, Oxford, has been charged with one count of obstructing a constable in the execution of his duty, and one count of using threatening words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
She has been released on bail to appear before Oxford magistrates on Wednesday, December 19.
