ENGINEERS are this morning working to fix a burst water main in Kidlington.
Lyne Road is closed in both directions between Grovelands and Chorefields, and buses have been diverted.
Temporary traffic lights were put in place about 6pm yesterday as Thames Water arrived to fix the leak.
Thames Water spokesman Craig Rance said due to the complexity of the works and how close the burst valve was to a sewer the company decided it would be safer to fix the problem in daylight and sent engineers out this morning.
Residents say their water supply is reduced, but the company said no homes were without water.
Mr Rance added: "We are sorry for any inconvenience caused and are working to get this fixed as quickly as possible."
