WHAT is all the brouhaha about Oxford University inventing cars that drive themselves?

Such vehicles have long been on Oxfordshire’s roads.

They are programmed to drive down the middle of narrow roads and swerve only at the last second to emphasise their presence to oncoming drivers.

Handheld phone aficionados really love them, as they can drive along with phone clamped to ear, secure in the knowledge that the car will steer itself.

These cars are a menace and should be banned forthwith.
