THREE pupils from the village primary school were invited to TV studios in London to record ghost stories in 1983.
The trio were Joann Jeffrey, 10, Robert Townsend, nine, and Justin Lambourne, 10.
Their tales of ghostly goings-on in the village were later shown on TVam, the ITV breakfast show.
A model space rocket was the centrepiece of an end-of-term exhibition, part of the primary school’s Eisteddfod in 1974.
In 1995, pupils held a series of events to raise money for deprived children in Bosnia.
Mark Copperwheat, six, cheated slightly at the lucky dip – teacher Nicky Martin spotted his slipping blindfold!
