PEOPLE CONVICTED OF OFFENCES AT MAGISTRATES’ COURTS AROUND THE COUNTY RECENTLY

John Ochola, 31, of Bulan Road, Headington, Oxford, admitted causing criminal damage to a Blackberry mobile phone worth £200 in The Hythe, Abingdon, on December 12. Fined £35 and told to pay £200 compensation, £20 victims’ surcharge and £20 costs.
Gary Norris, 31, of O’Hanlon House, Luther Street, Oxford, admitted begging in a public place in Magdalen Street, Oxford, on March 4, and committing a futher offence while subject to a suspended sentence. Given 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay £15 vitcims' surcharge and £35 costs.
Mason Jefferys, 44, of Oxford Crescent, Didcot, admitted drink driving in Oxford Crescent on April 6. Had 118 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of blood, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Fined £50 and told to pay £50 victims' surcharge and £85 costs. Given two-year driving ban.
