RESIDENTS have been invited to give their views on plans for houses off Botley Road, Oxford.

Banner Homes wants to build nine four-bedroom houses in Abbey Road, near Oxford railway station.

The plans will be on show at West Oxford Community Centre, Botley Road, today from 4.30pm to 6.30pm.

The firm has an option agreement to buy the site, which is currently occupied by car hire firm Avis, if planning permission is given.

It is earmarked for housing in Oxford City Council’s sites and housing development plan.

Banner regional managing director, Mark Booth, said: “This exhibition will give residents the opportunity to view and discuss our proposed plans for the site with members of our team and for us to take on board any feedback and comments they may have, prior to submitting a planning application.”

The city council will make a final decision on the plan on issues such as design and layout.
