I HOPE Oxford Mail readers might help me understand why it is that Oxfordshire County Council will allow Transit vans to park in the heart of this great university city but will not allow school minibuses of the same size.
The county council does not allow – apparently – school minibuses in Mansfield Road, even when the children are visiting a university department.
White vans of the same size are perfectly OK.
Might the need to raise revenue, combined with the outsourcing of parking enforcement, have created a situation in which tails are wagging the dogs?
