TWO men appeared before Oxford magistrates yesterday charged with manslaughter following the death of a man who fell through a roof at a farm.
John Binning, 64, from Great Park Farm, Besselsleigh, and James Binning, 27, from Binnings Farm, Besselsleigh, spoke only to confirm their names as they stood side by side in the dock.
They have been charged in relation to the death of former army Sergeant Major Dean Henderson-Smith, 46, of High Street, Long Wittenham, who died while working at Great Park Farm on October 18 last year.
They were released on bail to appear at Oxford Crown Court on Monday.
A joint investigation into Mr Henderson-Smith’s death was launched by Thames Valley Police and the Health and Safety Executive.
