A DAD has been jailed for 27 months after admitting cruelty to his son.
Twenty six-year-old Aaron Law, of Lily Close, Bicester, was jailed for the offence at Oxford Crown Court.
The offence – cruelty to a person under 16 years – took place between November 30, 2011, and February 5, 2012. The Crown Prosecution Service, which brought the prosecution, said it had been contacted following injuries to his 13-week old son.
The child was taken to hospital with a fractured tibia, but hospital staff were not satisfied with the explanation of how the injury occurred, the CPS said.
A full skeletal examination showed that the child had suffered eight fractures, which were at different stages of healing.
Although no banning order was made, the Oxford Mail has taken the decision not to name the victim.
