So Owen Paterson, Environment Minister, thinks the public should embrace GM foods and that they are safer than commercial foods.
What tosh. The reason that politicians wish for us to have GM crops is that their GM pals would reap enormous profits from this GM bonanza.
If you have GM crops, you cannot use the resultant seed from one year to the next. It is an offence.
You have to buy fresh seed every year – thus more profits for Mr Paterson’s pals.
This in the third world countries would cause much poverty.
In fact some GM companies have tried to patent crop seed that has been grown in India for thousands of years in order to collect royalties.
Despicable.
GM companies are in it for the dosh, not for the benefit of mankind. Do the honourable thing Mr Paterson – resign.
