OXFORD: Drivers are being warned park-and-ride car parks in the city could fill up fast today with thousands of people attending Oxford University open days.
On the first open day yesterday, county council-run Water Eaton and Thornhill were completely full by the morning, with city council-run Pear Tree, Redbridge and Seacourt park-and-ride car parks also affected.
At about 3pm, the Pear Tree car park was full, with a few spaces left at Redbridge and Seacourt.
Oxford University spokesman Matt Pickles said 14,000 visitors were expected to attend the open day sessions at the Examination Schools building in High Street.
