YOUNGSTERS visiting South Oxford Farmers’ and Community Market got the chance to read with local authors.

A book fair was staged at the market at South Oxford Community Centre on Sunday and Korky Paul and Hugh Warwick came along.

Aidan Lack, 11, and his sister Margaret, nine, from Morrell Avenue, Oxford, were among youngsters who met the authors.

Margaret, a pupil at St Joseph’s Primary School in Headington, said: “I really enjoyed seeing Hugh Warwick and Korky Paul.

“I used to read Winnie the Witch books when I was younger and I still like them now – it was good fun drawing some pictures with the authors.”

The market is held at the Lake Street community centre every Sunday from 9.30am until noon. For details, visit southoxfordfarmersmarket.org.uk
