YOUNGSTER Eva Van Rijn, right, read a Spot story to her four-year-old sister Seren , left, at a teddy bear’s picnic.

The siblings hid from the heat under a gazebo with teddy bears and other families at the Rose Hill and Littlemore Children’s Centre on Tuesday. Puppets, sports and storytelling were popular at the event at Redmoor Park.

Eva, six, said: “I thought the face painting was very good.”

Mum Loretta Reid, 32, from Littlemore, said: “The children played some cricket and tennis.

“It was quite hot so we didn’t last that long in the sun, but they really enjoyed it.”
