THE Egyptian guards proved to be tough customers for Moses when he tried to save the Israelites from slavery, so the Old Testament story goes.
So these youngsters, above, from Carswell School, Abingdon, put on a suitably aggressive front when they played the stern slave drivers in their production of the Story of Moses in 1982.
The play, with music from the school choir and acting from the drama club, enthralled parents when the 60-strong cast played to two packed houses.
The Egyptian guards looking like they mean business are, left to right, Simon Hendy, Lee Palmer, Neil Anderson, Peter Simms, Paul Coleman, Robin Barratt and John Mindenhall.
