THE Co-op is assessing the damage caused to its supermarket in Kidllington's High Street by a major fire on Wednesday.
The firm said it hopes to give an update to customers next week.
It has pledged to re-open the store “as soon as possible”, and 51 staff have been moved to other stores.
Up to 50 firefighters tackled the blaze, which wrecked all contents through smoke damage, though the building was not structurally damaged.
An automatic alarm alerted police to the fire at 4.50am.
