I CARE for two disabled parents who have many hospital appointments per annum. I also have a yearly hospital check.
Over the past couple of years, my parents and I have received numerous letters from Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals. These letters are to regretfully cancel our appointments and send us a new one. The new appointment? For the same clinic, same day, only 15 minutes later than the previous time.
What a waste of paper, postage, secretarial time, ink cartridges etc. especially when we turn up for appointments and have to wait for an hour or more for the consultation.
How many other patients have experienced this source of waste and finance in Oxfordshire NHS? I suspect it is widespread.
