A man accused of pulling the handbrake on his then girlfriend’s car and causing a crash on the A40 has denied causing danger to other road users.

Terry Stout, 34, appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

He is accused of he pulling the handbrake in his Lisa-Marie Dancer’s car while she was driving on the A40, causing it to crash into a tree on May 15. Both suffered serious injuries.

Stout, formerly of Kidlington but now living in Reading, also pleaded not guilty to assaulting Miss Dancer.

He was bailed to appear for trial at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on November 22.
