The contractor that manages the advertising panels at Park & Ride sites has, “as a gesture of goodwill”, agreed not to allow advertisements from payday loan companies to be put up.
There is already an agreement with PrimeSite Media Ltd that prohibits alcohol and tobacco advertising.
The move follows a request from Oxford Citizen’s Advice Bureau to city councillor John Tanner as part of Oxfordshire’s Consumer Empowerment Partnership payday loan campaign.
