A housing activist has been celebrated for her campaign work on housing issues in Oxford.
Debbie Hollingsworth, 49, from Kidlington, was named as a finalist in the Social and Economic Justice Awards 2013, run by the Sheila McKechnie Foundation, which was set up in 2004 as a network of support groups tackling injustice.
Ms Hollingsworth was praised for her work addressing private rental problems in Oxford and the effect on low-paid workers.
The winner, from a shortlist of seven, was announced as Julie Jamieson, a disabilities campaigner from Antrim, Northern Ireland.
