COTSWOLD Wildlife Park was filled with walkers and wheelers at the weekend for a sponsored event in aid of a local school.
Children, families and staff from Springfield Special School, in Witney took part in the sponsored wheel and walk around the Burford park on Sunday to raise money to buy new interactive touch screen equipment for the school.
The youngsters completed at least one mile-long circuit of the park, collecting stickers from checkpoints and celebrating afterwards with a picnic.
Among those taking part was Springfield pupil Emily Davis, 12, with younger brother Benjamin, mum Susan and dad Nick.
Mrs Davis said: “It was really good. The weather was lovely and it was lovely seeing the animals. There was a really good turnout.”
She said the family hoped to have raised about £100 of the school’s goal of £3,000.
