A man has admitted thefts at Oxford shops worth a total of almost £1,000.
Daniel Ryan, 26, pleaded guilty to five thefts between April 25 and September 29 at various supermarkets and shops across the city.
He stole various alcohol, food and clothing items.
Ryan, of Azalea Avenue, Oxford, also asked for four thefts to be taken into consideration at Oxford Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
He was arrested on Sunday after he was caught stealing two waistcoats, worth £120, from Edinburgh Woollen Mill at Carfax, Oxford.
He was remanded in custody until October 21 while a pre-sentence report is prepared.
