A 10-year-old boy has been treated in hospital after he was bitten by a dog.
The child was walking in East Street, Bodicote, when he was bitten on the thigh by the brown dog, which was on a lead, at 4.30pm on Thursday.
Police said the dog’s owner – a woman in her 60s – stopped to see if the boy was all right, but left the scene.
The youngster was given antibiotics at the Horton General Hospital in Banbury.
