FOR her 100th birthday, Winifred Parker received the present of a lifetime, the first photo of her whole family together.

The matriarch, who turned 100 on Sunday, was joined at her home in Kidlington yesterday by her son, daughter-in-law, two grand-daughters, six great-grandchildren and three great, great-grandchildren.

Most of them came from across the UK, but great-grandson Mark only decided to catch a flight back from Tenerife on Monday.

Mrs Parker said: “It was excellent, couldn’t have been nicer. Everyone has been so kind – they bought me a television.”

She said that she didn’t have a secret to her longevity but added: “I love my vegetables and I go out every day if possible to do a bit of shopping.”

Born in Birmingham, Mrs Parker, known as Win, moved to Wolvercote with her first husband Bert Honey.

After he died in the early 70s she married Kenneth Parker and moved to Kidlington.

She worked on the sweet counter in Woolworths and also part-time at Oxford’s New Theatre.

Grand-daughter Sue White, from Yarnton, said: “She's amazing for her age. She doesn’t look 100. We have had a photograph before with five generations but not with my dad Robert as well.
